The Middlesex Handicap Championship was held at Enfield Golf Club on a balmy late summer’s day.
The home club put out a strong contingent and even fielded two sides in the Team Competition.
Home advantage proved decisive in the Team Comp as Enfield 1, ran out worthy winners with 103 points in the best 3 scores from 4 competition. (Team comprised Dickie Smart, Peter Ives, Aubrey Stronach and Gary Casey). Enfield 2 and North Middlesex GC were joint second with 99 points.
In the Individual competition Peter Ives from Enfield GC was third, Jacky Wonghen from Grims Dyke GC was Runner Up on count-back, but our champion for 2025 is Gurmit Sanghera. What a lovely way to celebrate his Captain’s year at North Middlesex GC.
Thanks to Enfield GC, the course was in magnificent shape. Thanks to the bar & catering team. The food was fabulous. Thanks to the volunteers and referees. Lastly, thanks to all of the competitors taking part.
