ROUND 7 was played at Wyke Green GC on Monday 30th March. The competitors were treated to some blustery winds on a bright but chilly early Spring day. The Course was in excellent shape and the hospitality was first class. Scoring was excellent in the Gross and Nett categories. However, we had that “Ealing feeling” as they made a clean sweep of the prizes. James Robertson won the Gross event with a superb score of 73. Jack Manders from Ashford Manor GC was one shot further back. Marley Mohan, also from Ashford, was third on 75.
Ayman Burns from Ealing GC won the Nett category with a blistering round of nett 64Â and James Robertson was second with nett 68. Marley Mohan also shot under his handicap with a nett 69.Â
So, its our Final stop next on “The Road to Ealing” on 9th April. Marley Mohan is still our overall leader with Jack Manders hot on his heels. However, everything is up for grabs as there are double points in the final event. That’s a whopping 200 points to the winner! So, make sure you are registered for the final bumper bonanza on a great track, with lots of prizes on offer, and Ealing stalwart & renowned professional Ricky Willison, has even offered to put on a short game clinic. It should be a fantastic finale to what has been a great competition over the winter months.Â
