Our Women’s Autumn Meeting was held at Hendon Golf Club this year. The layout is really interesting and varied, with no 2 holes being alike. It’s a good test of golf. There are some green shoots of recovery on the fairways after the recent summer drought.
44 competitors were assembled in what turned out to be a lovely late summer day.
In third place on count-back with 77 stableford points were Stanmore GC, represented by Hemma Debasia, Sapna Lachhani, Jane McClay and Daniella Ifield. Our Runners Up are Muswell Hill, represented by Ruth Holmes, Marjorie Holmes. Robin Chapman and Louise Tulip. However, our winners on the day are the Home team of Maki Shoda, Julie Noon, Joy Alhuwalia and Julia Male, with a magnificent 79 points. Well played girls!
Our thanks to Diana Rowlands, Middlesex Golf President, for hosting the event, Gabby and the admin team, Charlotte, Jess and Amy, who kept everyone fed & hydrated, Matt Deal in the Pro shop and Andrew and his greens team, led by Jay Patani, Chair of Greens and all the members at Hendon Golf Club for giving up your course to Middlesex.
