The annual CW Roe Trophy was held at West Middlesex GC on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September. The weather set fair for the opening round of this 54 hole competition at Middlesex’s oldest club. The best of the morning was 67, shot by Mill Hill’s Michael Okon. The wind made a dramatic appearance for the afternoon round. However, Oliver Caton managed a superb round of 68 in the testing conditions. The top 21 players qualified for the final round on Sunday. 2 players shot a scintillating 69, James Bailey and Luke Bartram, while overnight leader Michael Okon shot 75. This meant that we had three players tied on 214, Michael, James and Paul Collington. So, into a play off. Michael emerged victorious and is the CW Roe Champion for 2026. Well done Michael.
Five women also competed for the Women’s Trophy over 36 holes. Skye Fontanelli from Faversham Golf Club is our Champion for 2026.
Thanks to Alex and the team at West Middlesex Golf Club for organising this superb event.
