What a fabulous week at Crews Hill Golf Club. We hosted Hampshire, Kent, Surrey & Sussex Junior Girls for 3 days of competitive golf. There were some fabulous swings on display and the matches were fiercely but fairly contested. Sussex brought the sunshine from the south coast. Monday was very warm indeed but the team captains ensured the players were kept well hydrated.
Hampshire emerged as Champions in the main Scratch Match Play competition with Surrey hot on their heels in second place. There is also a Stableford competition running alongside the main Matchplay event. This competition is a Foursomes Stableford, played off current playing handicaps, with the best 3 scores from 4 to count. In a reversal of the main competition, this was won by Surrey with Hampshire a close second.
We would like to thank all of the Junior Organisers from Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and of course, Middlesex for making this festival of golf an event to live in the memory for many years to come.Â
We must give special mention to Crews Hill Golf Club for their hospitality & support and for presenting the course in pristine condition. The club were fabulous hosts and left no stone unturned to provide the girls with a memorable experience.
