Women’s Pearson inter-county finals

The Women's Pearson Inter-County Finals bring the best team from each of four Counties. Littlestone GC represented Kent, Brocket Hall GC represented Hertfordshire. Royal Wimbledon represented Surrey and North Middlesex GC represented Middlesex.

Report on an amazing day at Hadley Wood yesterday for the Pearson Inter-County finals. The Alistair Mackenzie designed course was presented in fabulous condition with their trade-mark quick and sloping greens. Luckily the weather was not as hot although very windy. The Finals are contested between the might of Middlesex, Kent, Hertfordshire and Surrey. North Middlesex GC represented Middlesex, Littlestone GC represented Kent, Brocket Hall GC represented Hertfordshire and Surrey were represented by Royal Wimbledon GC.

North Middx played Brocket Hall in semi finals and won – our County Manager’s Whats app was going bonkers! So, North Middx to play Royal Wimbledon in the afternoon. Really tight matches but unfortunately RWGC just took the edge with a 3-2 win.

As usual it was all played in the spirit it should be played. Lots of support from our Clubs who came along to watch and from our Middx Board members All I can say is well done North Middlesex – you did us proud, it was great to watch.

Match report by Sue Gooderham.

A special note of thanks to Sue Gooderham from everyone at Middlesex. Sue is stepping down as Pearson County Organiser after three years in the role. Sue has been tireless and has done a fantastic job! Heather Wood will take the reins but Sue will also still be around to support Heather.
